When to start looking for your dream dress?

We recommend you start looking for your wedding dress about 8 months to a year before your wedding with a view to ordering it no later than 6 months before (if you have less than 6 months to your wedding please read ordering below) this will give you plenty of time to try on lots of styles and think about what you have seen before you make your final decision, while a lot of people do start looking earlier than this it is worth bearing in mind that dress styles do get discontinued so if you start looking early and find your dream dress we recommend buying early so that you aren't disappointed.

Coming to try dresses on

It is a good idea to wear a strapless bra when coming to try dresses on, and we do provide heels for you to try on with the dresses, however if you are thinking of wearing particularly high heels then bring a pair along so you can see how you will look. It doesn't matter what colour they are, you won't see them under the dresses!

Bringing friends and family

We have lovely big changing and seating areas and are happy to accommodate your family and friends. Our advice would be not to bring too many people with you as you can end up with a lot of confusing conflicting opinions, and it is hard to focus on what you really like yourself.

Different styles

Wedding dresses look so different on each person we always encourage people to be brave when looking around and try on a little bit of everything. It is amazing how many people say that the dress they fell in love with is nothing like they thought they would have.

Ordering

Bridal gowns do have quite a long order time. We recommend not leaving it any later than 6 months before your wedding to place the order for your dress. If you haven't got this amount of time give us a ring on 01332 758367 and we can let you know what dresses are still available in your time limits.
